Anxiety

Do you find yourself constantly worrying or feeling restless? Throughout everyone’s life feelings of anxiety and worry will arise and affect them. For example, you may feel worried or anxious about a job interview, a health problem, financial issues or even relationship worries.  Feelings of worry and anxiety are perfectly normal reactions to the daily pressures of life.  The difference here, is that for some people these feelings of worry or anxiety can become intrusive in their lives, and may begin to affect them on a daily basis.

National statistics from the NHS estimate that approximately 1 in 50 people will suffer with generalised anxiety disorder at some point during their lifetime.  The most commonly affected demographic are people in their 20s and it affects slightly more women than men.  It is a long-term condition that can make you feel anxious about a very wide range of issues, rather than your anxiety or fear relating to one specific issue.  You may find that you feel constantly anxious, being able to relax at certain times or in many cases, struggling to relax at all.

Anxiety is not only related to worry, it can also manifest into health problems and sufferers often experience “panic attacks” which can make you think that you are suffering from a heart attack. Symptoms of anxiety are placed on such a broad spectrum that the sufferer is often not aware that they are suffering with anxiety. If you are unsure if you are suffering from anxiety then contact us to find out more information and see if we can help you.

If you are worried about a specific event that is upcoming in your life - then suggestion hypnotherapy can help you incredibly - giving you a positive view of the upcoming event and making you feel more in control about the event. Whether this is an upcoming exam, medical operation or even a driving test. It will help you build on your self-belief and you will have a strong visual image of yourself being calm and self-assured in your upcoming event.

Hypnotherapy is extremely beneficial in reducing stress levels regardless of the problem being treated, so it is especially useful in these situations.

How we can help

If anxiety or symptoms of anxiety are intruding on your life and preventing you from doing the things you would like then a course of hypnotherapy can benefit you greatly. Depending on your situation we will offer you a course of suggestion therapy or hypnoanalysis. If we discover that there are bottled up emotions involved in your panic attacks, then the root issues can be tackled with hypnoanalysis. Some people can benefit directly with suggestion therapy (clinical hypnosis), but if we find the problems are more deep rooted from your past, then these are tackled with the hypnoanalysis.
